Hiii! If you’re reading this, you must have been curious about me. 🙂 Here are a few facets of my identity, particularly the ones that led me to becoming a co-founder, co-director of BIPOC Coffee Talk Inc. I am an Indigenous Latina and my roots can be traced back to the Indigenous Incas and Quechua Peoples of Peru. I was raised in two different cultures with often conflicting values–Peruvian/Hispanic culture in my home within the broader context of Canadian society. I am an avid recreational salsa and bachata dancer because they connect me to Hispanic culture as well as individuals who are open-minded towards multicultural activities. And lastly, I have a longstanding passion for health and well-being, which led me to pursue a career in health psychology.
